Me too!

My cards showed up yesterday too! Woo! They were a great ending to an already happy day, like the cherry on a cake. :-) ;-) Thanks everyone! Thanks a lot to Jen too for hosting this!

Jen, can we send you a few dollars for postage/etc?

Mr. Postman...

Brought me my cards today!

Thanks everybody, for the fun and gorgeous stuff. Trying to figure out how best to display them....

Went to the mailbox yesterday....

There was a happy surprise in my mail the other day....

Thank you to everyone, they are so lovely!

atc update

Hello my ATC friends! I’m sorry for going dormant for so long. I was waiting for the last 2 people to turn in their cards, but then I sort of lost track of time, and now it is definitely time to move on with what we have. We ended up with 13 participants, and I sorted all the cards today. I will run out and buy some envelopes for mailing tonight, and I am going to try and put them in the mail tomorrow. Any extra cards will be returned to the original artists – you might could use them for something else in the future.

I can’t wait for you to see the sets – they look so great when you see the cards all together! Oh, and thank-you to those of you who sent envelopes or postage for the return trip!

On their way!

Like Matti, this is my first time at making ATCs and I hope you like them. Also, my sewing machine, I have discovered, hates satin stitch. Virulently. With a purple passion. We argued long and loud into the night.

My camera sucks rocks, so I will only upload the picture of the whole set. The gentleman in the 18th century portrait is Sir Thomas Reade--my many-times-great grandfather!

Mailing Off

Okay, this is my first attempt at this game. I'm very shy. I'm afraid that they won't be "good enough."

I used my most recent work as inspiration, and printed the computer-created images on vellum paper. I did a little bit of highlighting with Sharpies on the back, so I wouldn't smear the ink-jet ink. I read somewhere that they needed to be exactly 2.5" x 3.5", so I made a grid that size. If this is nuts, tell me so I know for next time. These should be clickable thumbnails if I've done it right...

These are in an envelope and will be mailed shortly.

one more check in

Hey guys! If you still have not mailed your ATC's yet, could you please reply to this message and let me know when I can expect them. We are now 6 weeks over the due date, and it's time that we start wrapping this up. If you have changed your mind and have decided not to participate, please let me know that as well so we don't wait around indefinitely.

Thanks! :)

checking in again

We're still waiting on the last few folks to get their cards sent in for the exchange. I don't mind waiting as much as we need to (within reason), but I still haven't heard anything lately from [info]fiofiorina or [info]matticrafts. Are your cards mailed yet, or do you still need more time?

Sorry to nag, but I just want to stay on top of things so I don't forget about anybody.

my ATC's

I finally took some time to photograph my finished ATC's.

I had a ton of fun making these, and I'm excited to send them off to their new homes soon!

These are the people whose cards I am still waiting on: rose_bertin, devikat, guilded_garb, laurensa, fiofiorina, and matticrafts. Please let me know if your cards are already in the mail, will be mailed at the beginning of next week, if you still need another week to finish up, or if you want me to carry on with the exchange without you (I hope not!).

Thanks!
